Art Every Day Month, November 30th

November 30th, 2008

Today is the 30th and last day of Art Every Day Month for this year. Thank you for joining in. It has been such a pleasure creating with you all!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post, the previous day's posts and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation! For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the before you use the link widget to share your creations.

All who are creative, in whatever way, are doing something very important to the well being of the world.

Ah – some days that quote makes sense and seems quite correct – my creativity is adding to the good of the world. Other days it just feels selfish to spend so much time and energy on this, because some days it feels mostly like it’s just something I do for myself… But I’ve come to know, and so has my family, that I’m a better person to be with, and more able to listen and see them, if I create regularly. A bit like a line from a Dar Williams song, “When I talk about therapy, I know what people think / That it only makes you selfish and in love with your shrink / But oh how I loved everybody else / When I finally got to talk so much about myself.” When I am expressed through my art, I can then see and hear others better, and be genuinely moved by them. I hope everyone finds their way to do that.

To the group I say, I have found this daily adventure with all of you very fruitful and mind opening. I hope to still see work and hear from you as we roll out of November. And again, Leah, thanks so much for creating this space, and daily posting this widget so we can all connect. You’ve been the perfect hostess/moderator/mentor.

i have so enjoyed doing aedm, every day has brought a new idea and a new piece of art, thanks so much for all your encouragement.

Leah – it was an honor and a blast doing this challenge with you and everyone else. I am thrilled I actually made it the whole month – it was great!!!
Thanks for letting me be a part of it all!!! Thanks for sharing so much of you!!

Wow it is hard to believe that we are greeting today as November 30th, the last day of AEDM! What a journey! It is has been a great adventure and pleasure to learn and share with everyone. I have been inspired by everyone’s art and words. Many thanks to Leah and the AEDM participants. Many blessings to all!

Leah,

This has been such an inspiration to me. I hope to find time to create every day even without this kind of encouragement,

xoxo

Thank you so very much Leah for sharing your art and facilitating this wonderful circle of creativity! It was truly an artful experience of self-discovery in more ways than one! May our paths cross again! Thanks again to you Leah & all ADEM artists! Season’s Greetings! :o )

leah, I echo everyone else’s words (being on california time, always late!) and thank you deeply for being willing to moderate this rather intense daily creative journey…I have done my art much more consistently as I have participated and have established a new pattern of creating that I love! I owe it to you and my fellow aedm’rs who have been generous with comments and words of wisdom as well as sharing their artistic paths…I will continue on from here, posting perhaps not everyday but most days, visiting those I have come to know as well as new artists who venture onto your site….blessings to you for a wonderful holiday season.

Echos of others’ words – I haven’t been as consistent as I ‘intended,’ but have loved checking in, & have done bits & pieces :) Thanks so much for this facilitation, & for triggering me to focus more on my creative being! Namaste, all

Thank you so much for providing this encouragement for us to create art every day. It has helped me so much throughout the month. You’re an angel!

Btw, I did the draw for the ‘I AM LOVE’ painting I was giving away and, while you didn’t win that one, I decided to draw a second winner for my ‘I AM PRESENT’ painting and YOU WON IT! I posted the link to the ‘photo’ draw on Mr Linky today. So please email me your snail mail address and I will get it sent off to you. Congratulations, Leah!!!

What fun it’s been to try some new techniques and explore. It’s been such an inspiration to look at what others are doing. Your work grows more lovely over time. :)

Nooooo, say it’s not over! Leah, I can’t thank you enough for all your fabulous inspiration and support. This month has been an amazing experience. I am so grateful for all the creative projects I have done this month, as well as for the wonderful community of people I have found through AEDM. Thank you all!

As has been said already…it is hard to believe that this is the last day of AEDM! It has just flown by! It was very good for me…I, like a lot of us, I think, do find it hard to demand my time to spend creating and playing…sometimes when life gets hectic and demanding…it is that creative time for ourselves that we tend to give up first…but that is not a good thing!!! Also, like many of you, this time I spend with myself is very important and plays a big role in how I can then go out and participate in the rest of life and with those around me. My playing and creating really is a vital therapy for me!

Thank you, Leah, for hosting this and for taking so much time to be so personal with so many of us…it really was great! It was wonderful seeing everyones work and also to talk to some of you! Thanks!

it’s been a blast! thanks leah for making this happen!

Thank you Leah for making all this happen. Since I started late I intend to keep at it for another week or so (since I want my full thirty days). When I’m finished I want to take a picture of the pile of all the stuff I did over the ‘month’ and just stare at it. I’m already far more productive than I would have thought, in spite of feeling terribly blocked!

Leah, I just want to thank you for this month. I’ve been working to be a “daily creative” since I met you in the blogosphere, but this month crystalized the importance of creativity in my life. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for what you do.

Many blessings to you and yours,
Kelley (aka dragonflyreflections)

Leah – what they said – every one of them – and more. Thank you! I have been inspired and stirred and pushed and thought I was going to just wilt away here at the end, but I couldn’t do that. I had to get something in here – better late than love. Many hugs to you for all you do!

Well, it’s hard to believe we are at the end of this exciting adventure. Thanks so much Leah for creating this challenge….I am trying to remember how I discovered you (I believe it was through Jennifer Lee’s blog…so Jennifer, thanks for sharing this). This really gave me the creative “mojo” I needed to finish my exhibition and the courage to actually post my work on my blog, which primarily focuses on other artists and their work, LOL!

Thanks to all the participants who visited my blog and commented on my artwork…there were days that I really needed to see your kind words of admiration and encouragement, believe me.

Peace and Blessings all…and of course, Keep Creating!!!!

I am really enjoying all the moon paintings. They are magical.

I can’t believe I actually got my cards done! Even though it was a lot of work, I’m really glad I did this project fot Art Every Day Month. I’m also happy that I got to see work by so many other artists. And thank you to everyone who commented on my cards. I love to get feedback about what I do and this helped me to get just that!

Thanks Leah, from the bottom of my heart! I enjoyed every day of art this month, even though I didn’t post every day. Bless you.
