Art Every Day Month, November 4th

November 4th, 2008

Today is day 4 of Art Every Day Month!

The box below is a widget that I will provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link to your post (blog post or flickr image) about that day's creation.

Please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you don't have a page you can link to and want to share, feel free to use the comments of this post to make a quick note about what you did today. If you're posting less than once a day, feel free to use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation!

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the before you use the link widget to share your creations.

Also, don't let the widget make you nervous! Use it to share, if you have something that you want to share with others. Use it to motivate you, if you want some added motivation, but don't let it stress you out. The challenge is totally flexible and low-pressure. Perfection is getting tossed out. Do what you can and have fun with it!

If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head almost nothing. -Marc Chagall

Today’s a little hectic, but I am going to try to work a little with these photos I took over the weekend for my upcoming exhibition. This might take a couple of days.

great day to get out and VOTE!!! Also I finally started my 2D pictures which I much prefer for AEM – makes me stretch – thanks for that! feels good.

I have babysitting duties today, but did find time this morning to vote, eat breakfast out with the hubster and stop for a quick few groceries at the local store.

I did get some ATC backgrounds started this morning and will hopefully finish some and post them late this evening for tomorrow’s link.

Yay VOTING! I dropped off my mail in ballot yesterday and avoided all the lines! Whose idea was this?

As for AEDM, Doing a little bit during the day and finishing it up after the kids go to bed might be the answer. Or one of them.

I made some drawing efforts they are on my flickr page. Happy creating and good luck on your votings.

Hi Leah. I just found your blog today–and the timing is fortuitous for me! I’ve been not making time for my watercolor painting for about three weeks now; I got busy and got offtrack, and now I’m trying to get back on! Your AEDM sounds like just the inspiration I need right now. I’ll be signing on tomorrow! Thanks for making it possible.

I took the day off and posted my Nov. 4th post last night. I just needed to take in the election process.

I felt such pride voting today. I looked around at all the people who were there voting with me and wondered – is my state really as red as the polls predict? I’m not so sure. I loved the post Leah linked from TPM cafe – it made me cry to think of that little boy choosing change, just as I did. Anyway, today’s artwork was inspired by voting!

I just posted some goals that I have for the month and a shot at what I’ve been ‘cooking’ up the last couple of days. :)

Thank you for starting this great challenge!

“November Butterfly” is a work in progress that I started today. Hoping to finish it up tomorrow (fingers crossed). It was down right therapeutic working on it this afternoon. I’ve found that this challenge (AEDM) has helped me let go of the guilt I feel when I spend time on creative projects. I’m starting to realize that being creative is time well spent and truly makes me a happier, more balanced person. Gotta love that right!?!

BTW Leah, I’m using http://livingtheartistsway.blogspot.com to post my AEDM projects, instead of http://moriarty-delafuente.blogspot.com, the link you have for me under participants. I’m still debating whether I’ll start a blog specifically for AEDM which is why I haven’t emailed you about it. If it’d be easier for you I’ll just keep adding myself to the widget and once I decide on a blog to use, I’ll email you. That way you won’t have to change it multiple times.. right?

how i love that quote! so beautiful and true.

Yay, my first art-every-day post!

Well the dates are always going to be a bit screwy me being on the other side of the world and all. I almost wish I had done an Obama themed post but other projects called!

Finding this more challenging than I thought. I do something artful everyday, but posting it daily is a stretch for me.

Hi Leah. Thanks for administering this–it’ll help me try to keep art-making in the front of my brain (and schedule) and it’s also a great way to find other artists’ blogs!
