Art Every Day Month, November 14th

November 14th, 2008

Today is the 14th day of Art Every Day Month. You're doing fabulously! Keep on keepin' on.

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post, the previous day's posts and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation! For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the before you use the link widget to share your creations.

I learned...that inspiration does not come like a bolt, nor is it kinetic, energetic striving, but it comes into us slowly and quietly and all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness.

I like that quote – it reminds me of Hundertwasser’s method, which he called organic painting.

What inspiration this is. I find myself making time to create just so I am able to post something here.

Creating snail mail counts, right? Creating sacred studio space counts, right? Creating fun counts, right? I think so.

Oh, and at the bottom is a ‘potential’ giveaway. If someone can guess the correct answer. ;)

I love that quote and it’s so true isn’t it? We have to carve that little space every day if we want the chance for growth when it comes to our creativity.

I am really enjoying viewing and reading about so many kinds of artforms! Wonderfully creative artists! Thank you Leah! :o )

painting is meditative and we have to carve time for it to grow spiritually.

there is a sense of spirit in art and I see it everyday as I visit everyone’s blogs….it’s wonderfully inspiring….again, much gratitude to Leah for inspiring me “everyday to give it a little chance to start flowing”.

I am really thankful for this art ‘challenge’.

so, i’ve decided to just bunch all of mine up. =) it’s neat to see what other people are creating… these links are good for that.

It has been wonderful & inspiring to see how prolific everyone is. I have not been as good about creating a complete piece to post everyday, but have been puttering with bits and pieces each day. Thank you Leah for creating this space, and thank you all for posting to your blogs. I’ve really enjoyed seeing what everyone is up to all over the world! I will post to flickr again soon!

Funny… my post really works with the quote for today.

I finished an oil pastel piece that I started last night. Please, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to improve my art skills and need some help from a more trained eye. Thanks everyone. THANKS Leah!!! ~Sara

Mine’s a photo mandala today of red and yellow barberry leaves.

Definitely still in the angst/judgmental phase of things, though. Though I suppose it’s good; it’s making me reevaluate why I want to do things, and what good doesn’t come of making myself do things I don’t want to do.

Back from my business trip “marathon” … missed being more in-touch with the other AEDM peeps (and actually doing more focused stuff myself). Good to be getting back in the swing. D
